Education
Our goal is to ensure that our children are well looked after and when they grow up they will have a good chance to succeed and be independent. We seek to provide them with the necessary education to set them on the right path of self-sufficiency but with a caring heart for others and to remember that God's love inspired the volunteers of LHA team.
As our children mature, some may be able to cope and enter the mainstream tertiary education system; of nationwide examinations to enter high school and onto university thereafter. We will at all times try ourbest to ensure that our children will be educated to the best of their abilities.
Some may not be so academically inclined; perhaps due to their backgrounds of never having a chance to truly study well before they were brought to our homes or perhaps simply that they are not so academically inclined. For these children, we seek to explore different types of vocational training for them through counseling and really listening to them to know what they themselves aspire and which vocation they may enjoy. To date, we already have a number of children taking that bold step forward:
Fan Lili, Suzie – Suzie is now attending a tourism vocational school in Shijiazhuang. She is majoring in English and will hopefully graduate in 2009 with a university accredited qualification.
Fan Weiwei, Jeremy – Jeremy started attending a vocational school in Shijiazhuang learning motor repairs. Jeremy, as most boys loves cars, we hope can succeed with a career in the motoring industry.
Zhang Wei Liang, John – John has been attending vocational school in Shijiazhuang learning computer repairs.
马路军 – Maggie, one of our more academically inclined started high school in 2006, 赵县实验中学
Zhang Wei Hong, Ruth 张伟红 – Started at a vocational school for nursing in September 2007; 石家庄廉州医学院(护理专业)
殷子阔 – David started vocational training (for computer studies) in September 2007, 石家庄法商学院 (电脑专业) 马少霞 .
